Default IFA Redfish tour Grand Isle

Fished the harsh wind conditions on Saturday for the IFA Redfish Tour. The tournament was launched out of Grand Isle (Bridgeside Marina). We ran the Gulf of Mexico (twice, going and coming back from Venice) and got the snot beat out of us. Manage a 15.36lb bag but had a fish go belly up on us and got a .5lb deduction for it. Tournament officials counted the two fish weight but forgot to count the deduction, and after the weigh-in was finally done I did the right thing and let them know I had a dead fish. That knocked us from 11th to 18th out of 54. We were on the right fish but had to let go two nice ones (8lbers) as they were on their last leg and rules state once a fish dies they can not be culled. Two dead fish would have meant a 2lb deduction. Anyways, it was great time as usual.

Up next the Louisiana Saltwater Series Championship in Oct, with Brady Duhon (Boatdriver) out of Empire Marina. And then IFA Redfish Tour Championship in Nov out of Chalmette LA.

Nice job fellas. I was at Bridgeside but didn't hang around for the weighin. And yes the wind was harsh.
