Default Reef Report

Arrived @ ICY about 2 Pm. Crossed the bay, it was almost slick. Tried a reef in the pass on the incoming tide. Nothing.

Left and went south. Got to the reef and the water was GREAATTTT!

Started out @ south end of reef and started trolling and throwing glow on a 1/4 oz jig.

After about a 1/2 hrs finally THUMP! ONE small 13 trout. Throwback.

Got on up-current side of reef, trolled along and then THUMPPP. , Shaking head come-up about 20 yds from boat. Ask partner to get the net.
Landed a 23" trout close to 4.5#.

!0 minutes later another thump. 21" trout was flipped over side.

Fished another 2 hrs and nothing. Tide started back out and fish stopped.

Stopped at Cadwells reef on the outgoing tide and NOT ONE BIRD PICKIN?

Tried one drift over reef and only had a few hits, but no hookups.

Water was great. But I think the bite is in the Morning.

Ended with only the 2 NICE TROUT and several sand trout for my crab traps.

Just kidding sounds like our last trip but ours ended with 3 fish, nothing over 13 inches. Oh well better than being at work I guess.

HA HA ! Not really. Needed the heads for my crab traps. I caught a few white trout to use also.

Makes for a cool pic though. Make a simpleton think how did he land them if the sharks bite off their heads.

Thanks My BUDDY for NOTICING!!!
