Normally we move anything that is politics to the premium area. In this case, I encourage anyone that wants to speak out about 9/11 to please do so and we are going to leave it here in the open area.

The first time my wife and I visited ground zero after 9/11 I made the mistake of reading some of the letters on the wall written by children who lost their fathers or mothers/wife's that lost their husbands. I feel apart. These were ordinary people, parents going to work to make money for their families and out of nowhere their lives were taken from them doing something we all do every day, just earning a living. I have always had a certain disrespect for authority but what the NYFD and NYPD did during this time period earned my respect. My thoughts and prayers again go out to the families that lost someone dear to them.

I have an issue with our current president and governement but this is different we are still one nation under God, God bless the USA.

A great time of tragedy followed by a great time of unity. Nationwide unity. It's too bad what happened had to take place in order to reunite us as a nation. What's even worse is how fast the national, as a whole, forgot this lesson in unity.

Unfortunately, that's what happens when the leaders of this country strive for division and condemnation instead of unity and compassion. When you wake up tomorrow, say a prayer for the fallen of 9/11 and then give thanks to God that, in spite of the political divisiveness, we still live in the greatest country on the planet.

I work for a fire department ,and was on duty when this day of terror started. We watched the whole incident unfold ,as Im sure the rest of the world did that day . I will never forget the sick feeling I had as I watched the men of the FDNY do their job and give up their lives for strangers.
In 2007 I went to Iraq as a firefighter . On 9/11 we had a ceremony in memory of those who had lost their lives on that day in 2001. The service was held in one of Saddam's palaces at 10 am that morning, at 2pm tragedy stuck again. We took three rockets on base ,one hitting where we were parked that morning for the memorial service. That rocket resulted in 14 wounded and one dead. The other two luckily did no damage. Four hours seperated me from being here today or being one of that 14.

So I will never forget this day ,or what it means.
