top water when its smooth, if the reds are finning, which they should be, hit them on the nose with the gold spoon.
Ive had success recently with a white spinner bait when the reds are being a little less aggressive. or you see lots of bait running but not being hit |

actually i got a spinner bait on my spinning reel right now and was planning to leave it on

I find the two types of fishing to be quite similar. In the morning the fish tend to be more aggressive and will haul a$$ to get to your lure. As the day goes on try slowing down your retrieve. Throughly fish each area as you might get a bite by casting from a different angle. Spinnerbaits are always good for redfish. I use the H&H or the Strike King Redfish Magic.

last year my step dad who guides for oak grove took me fishing in the burns.caught tuns of reds with spinner baits in the baby bass color.most fun fishing i have ever had.reds and spinner baits,what a combo
