Cheers Another Mixed Box 10-16-11

Had a good group of experienced fisherman with me today, Paul Dufrene, Josh Bonura, Travis Harris, and ****ie Fillnich. We started the morning out fishing trout over the reefs catching 15-17 inch fish. The bite was slower than it has been, so we moved to some birds that were in the area. To my amazement every-fish we caught was a keeper (Good sign). It did not take long for the bite to play out, so we moved on. Checked 4 other reefs with no luck, so we moved on to plan B. We were stopped by WLF agents who were very courteous, they said we were the only boat that had fish in the box out of 15-20 boats they had stopped!! Made it to the ole honey hole and started reeling in a mixed variety of reds, trout, flounder, drum, and Bay Snapper. We filled up the box with no problem and called it quits so the guys could get back in time to watch the Saints game. All our trout were caught on the New Cocodrie Cocahoe soft plastics, while we caught mostly all other species on fresh shrimp. Thanks again guys, great time fishing with you.
