Cheers Verm/Weeks Bay 10/25-10/27

Rented a cabin at the state park Tuesday the 25th through Thursday the 27th... Fished Weeks Bay that afternoon from about 5:00 to sundown, and boxed about 30 trout and 2 flounder...Got a late start the next morning and went back to Weeks Bay at about 9:00, fished a couple hours and only caught about 5 trout, bite was pretty slow...Headed back to the cabin and cleaned fish, ate lunch. Got back on the water at about 4:00, starting in the cove...notta... Went to weeks bay and joined the armada, and boxed about 15 trout...All in the last hour before sundown. Had a buddy that had to get back so left them biting... Yesterday morning, fished in weeks bay again till about noon, caught about 20....Wished I would have stayed the rest of the day, didn't look at the updated weather report...Woke up from a nap at the house at 6 PM and the winds were still calm, I am sure the bite was on yesterday eve! All fish caught on salt/pepper with chartreuse tail deadly dudleys, with the exception of yesterday morning, caught a few on green grub under a cork! Have a few days left to vacation, sure wish this front would not have come through to mess things up! Pics are from Tues afternoon's catch, was sharing the cleaning table the rest of the time and didn't want to get the fish mixed up, so no more pics! Cheers!

looked like they had some empty cabins yesterday. That is a very nice place to stay when the Bay is on.

Default Weeks bay catch

Thanks for the fishing report. Have not fished out of C.P. this year. Do not wish to fight the other boats when I catch a lone fish. I fish out of Burn's Point most of the time.

Yes, I'm sure the cold front messed up the water and fishing. Can not fish out of B.P. soon after a norther, no water. I seldom use market shrimp, only artificial, but will tip if necessary.

Of Course just when I am a few days away from Coming in from Offshore. The Big Front comes through.

It's blowing 25-30 Knots; Seas are running 12' occasional 15' . Forecast says maybe a little higher later 2 Day.

DAMN. DAMN DUDE!! Just may luck.

Any of my of CAN SC friends spare a few fillets for a poor broke safety consultant.

Just kidding my friggin freezers full. See you all ina Few more days.
