dove hunting

dove season opens this weekend. anyone know of public places to go or reasonable per gun price in sw la. thanks in advance

also Thursday go to www.2theadvocate.com look in the outdoors section. Normally have a listing of dove fields put on by the WLF. They normally have some pretty good hunts. Usually $10 a head. If you have a kid they have youth hunts also & the parent or guardian gets to hunt also.

Btw......if you go to one of these public fields even though you cant shoot till Noon. You better get their early (6-7am), they only let a certain amount of hunters in.

They had one last year south of the Chloe exit on hwy 397 just south of the rice mill, apox 5 mies south of I-10. I dont know what they had last year but passed by there yesterday and they were doves everywhere. Hadnt seen them in that area like that in 15 yrs

look in the quick quarter. There was a dove field north of Breaux Bridge for $100 / gun.
