What would it take to get launch users to understand that it is a two lane ramp at Heberts Marina?

I had a 80 year old man who was with 2 of his friends in a hurry last weekend. My wife backed the boat trailer in on one side and he just motored past me in the lane. I was like *** but just watched. He drove his 16 footer up on my trailer and was hollering OK!!! I just sat there and laughed. His friend then backed his boat trailer and started hollering at him wrong trailer. ***** By the way my truck was red and he had a brown one. My trailer fits a 24 footer and his is 16.
O yea and fri a guy was doing a lil mechanic work on his old motor taking up the ramp for at least 15 min while 4 of us waited. LOL

Maybe a white line and a row of concrete blocks?????

12+ Years ago..... there was a hole with a white piece of PVC pipe sticking up to mark the middle and Sammy Falk would be out there making sure everyone kept the launch process moving along smoothly.

If you got there late.....you might have to park in the field out past where the boat wash is located. There are some camps there now.

Those holes are only getting worse in front of the launch.

Too damn much for that pothole fest!! You'd think since that box is stuffed chock full every weekend they could at least buy a load of road base and fill in some craters.

I hadn't been there in about 15 years, and then it was still in good shape.

Default I Can'T Believe

I can't believe put his boat on your trailer. That would have been a 10 in my book anyday. If I still sat on the dock in my lawn chair and get plastered watching sum people's boating & launching experience and that would happen no doudt I would've fell smooth out of that chair.

There is still a field to park in of you don't get a spot at the launch. It is past the old car wash.
I love the location, it is smack dab in the middle of the lake, but don't care for the launch and the parking.
It's best if you have another person fishing with you who can drive either the truck or boat. I fish alone a lot and don't want to block the small launch for too long if I gotta park way away.

I really felt bad for them because my dad is the same way. He is from further north of LC and he doesnt fish BL ever. He wanted to go crabbing last year in his boat so we could catch 2 limits. I said OK come on. My mom was guiding him down the launch at heberts while I was sitting in my boat waiting. Before I go any further he has a 18ft homemade river boat and trailer. He could never get his boat to slide on trailer so he put teflon strips on the runners. Follow me. His boat was getting a lil twisted so he is fighting it. He gives it 2 much gas to straighten it up and off the boat came on the launch. Problem was no water was under the boat, just cement. That was freaking funny. You cant imagine the stuff he does.
Raymond Jen was like what I do. I said just enjoy the moment and get me a beer for the ride home!!!

Know what you mean, my dad has installed 1500# winches on all of his boat trailers but don't dare tell him it is overkill or he will go balistic. Have figured out it is best to keep my opinions to myself.

The launch at the end of the road in Dularge is $7 and he is talking about going to $10 (Jug). Dude is a cash cow and they just keep coming. I use a private launch, and just laugh at all the knuckle heads that show up at that ramp every Saturday!
