Thumbs down Chicken coop

Went today didn't do real well. Real foggy and unbelievable number of boats no one really smoking them . Wind turned to the North and produced white caps. Left there with an hour wait to pick up. Went to Fin and Feather and picked up a few bass no white perch there. Water temp was 53 .

Anyone else have this experience today ?

We fished saline/larto today. Only caught 9. Seemed to be the theme of the day.

Ok but you have to stay in the middle. There are PVC pipes marking the lane. We got out a little and kicked up mud.

Hey 1fastmerc do you have any details on depth, bait, areas of the river?

I know he was below ward eight and throwing a jig. Probably against the trees.

Default Water Temp

I have been told the water temp @ the coop is critical to the bite.

Anyone know what the temp range should be ?

Fished Indian mounds this past saturday...picked up 10 bass and missed a few. fished from 11 til 4pm. Largest went 3.5lbs all caught off yamamoto swimbait on 1/8 oz jighead and texas rig senko. Fished a jig ripping it through grass up the dropoffs but no strikes. Headed back up there this weekend.....probably be tougher conditions even though we had a high on top of us last weekend. Water temps at the mound were 59-61.

Had a friend up there last weekend. They states shallow all weekend and did pretty decent.
I'll be staying shallow this weekend for a tourney on the river. Worst comes to worst I go deep, but this off season weather has got me wanting that shallow bite!!!

this little cold spell coming might scatter them more and send em back out of the shallow pattern. Caught most males in the shallows 2-5ft and the thicker ones in 6-12 ft. No hits in the 12-20 range...but fished it.
