Hate to tell you this........he made bail this morning from the charges by LSP. Here's the kicker, he has active warrants right now since he made bail and was released before the deputy could get his warrant from the judge!

My kids were on their way home from school in Rayne to my house in Crowley when all this went down. Talk about make a dad nervous!

What a bunch of numb nuts that turned this guy loose. Hopefully they can catch him again but changes need to be made at the jail to prevent derelicts like this where they belong. His blood alcohol and drug level were probably still measurable and they let that sucker back on the streets.

I don't condone drinking and driving but had one of us been stopped with a few in us, we'd likely still be there! I truly understand the parent point of view! I'm all for a jackass killing himself for being stupid but, when my kids are in his harms way, I'm pissed! Had he hit a regular passenger vehicle, its very likely someone would be writing an obituary today!

Yeah, I'm done ranting now!

all i know is if i saw that and then saw that dude walking around after the accident...he wouldnt be walking around by the time the cops got there ! this is one of the main reasons i quit drinking, because i was scared i could be that guy or even worse wake up to find my truck smashed and covered in blood and not know how itr happened.

We were close to the wreck, if we were a few minutes earlier he'd have hit us.

Ya know......it is a proven fact that cell phone usage while driving is equalivent to an illegal blood alcohol level. Just sayin'.....which is worse?

Don't blame the jailers......The deputy that used his taser and had the fight with him never filed a "hold order" to hold him there. Once he was processed, and he was cleared to make bail, he had the cash on him to post bond. It happens and the patrol deputy "assumed" he would be there for several hours or even days trying to make bail. He is being transferred back to Crowley this morning and I will be curious to see what his bond is today. Still, the fact remains if he has no criminal history, he will probably not spend a day of his sentence behind bars. Thanks to the sysytem!
