I still wear my Wolverines and I don't even have to have them anymore. Always liked em but, that's just me.

1st of all you're gonna pay for a good pair. Redwings & Ariats are high but for a reason. Just bought a pair of Ariats, my second pair but they last. I put many miles on them. Ariats & Redwings are the only ones that I've had that last. I've been working construction in Chem Plants & Refineries for over 20 years, which equals alot of miles on concrete

Docs are heavy. Bought some wolverines to try out and so far I love them. Really light and comfortable. I I wear them sometimes when I don't even have to and I have always hated boots

I had bad luck with Ariat soles coming apart working on grating all day. Twisted X held up way better if your looking for a cowboy boot style. If not you can't go wrong with a set of Red Wings.

I don't wear steel toe's but I love my Rocky's. Like wearing tennis shoes. The sole on them is awesome.

My first pair of Redwings 28 years ago sucked.
Switched to Georgia Boots, then Wolverine. Bother were good. Tried on some great Redwings. That's what I have now. They are a lot better than in the past. If I were you, try some on. If they hurt when new, they will hurt for a while. Get something with soft, comfortable insoles. Most good steel toe's start around $90 or so. All steel toe boots and shoes are heavy. Some more than others. If they hurt your ankles when new, don't get them. |

I have ariats ... Cowboy boots very comfortable , I wore the soles out in 1 year but I wear em nearly every day n I walk like a fool dragging my heels ! Buy them a lil tighter than normal because ariats stretch out .

I've worn just about all of em. Wolverines diet hold up. Docs weigh a ton and don't hold up. I liked justins ok. Really liked ariats and the pair I'm wearing now are twisted X and I don't think I'll ever own another work boot besides twisted X.
