There are many great billfishing destinations around the world, but few can match the sheer numbers of billfishing found in the warm Pacific waters off the coast of Guatemala.

Guatemalan Billfishing Adventures is a full-service operation that provides an unmatched experience including accomadations in a luxury lodge, delicious food, personal service throughout the stay, and world-class fishing aboard "Decisive", Capt. Philipps' 40' Gamefisherman.

Capt. Philipps is regarded as one of the world's great billfish captains and was named "Captain of the Year" by Marlin Magazine in 2008. The numbers of billfish caught aboard Decisive are simply astounding. Capt. Philipps has released over 22,000 billfish over the past 11 years, averaging an amazing 14 releases per day.

The majority are Pacific Sailfish in the 70-100 lb class, but good numbers of blue marlin in the 250-500 lb class are regularly caught. Dorado and yellowfin tuna typically round out the day and provide excellent table fare for GBA's chefs.
