Default Merc XR-7

Does anyone have any experience with a Merc XR-7 150 HP? I am looking at picking up a used one. Any positive or negative reviews would be appreciated.

They sound awesome!! Run like a scalded ape too! Good reliable 2stroke. I think there was an issue with the wiring rotting???

Thanks for the comments. It is actually a XR-6 (not sure what the difference is.) I'll try to PM Montauk as suggested.

Great motor....make sure the compression is 110psi or more. Also disconnect the oil injection if it hasn't been already and you will be good to go. Oh and change the water pump including the housing and gutt the thermostats.
