Default Tohatsu 40tldi

I recently purchased a Tohatsu 40 TLDI from Lake Area Marine (GREAT SERVICE BY THE WAY)!! Was just curious if any of you guys run them and what the performance was on your setup...

Got a Nissan 40. Same motor. On a 13'6" Whaler. Played with the prop quite a bit. Put a 17(I think) on it once and got to 45mph before the boat went airborne. Got a 14 on it now and cruise in the 30s

Just bought the same motor on a 16/48 weldbuilt. 10" jackplate and 14p black yamaha prop can run right at 40 turning 6000 rpm

Good Deal Im still in the break in period But I have it on a 1552 Weldbuilt and cant waiit to see what itll do..

I dont want to set any records I just wanna be able to have a little power with more than one person in the boat..40mph is rolling in a boat that size..

Yes it is. You would be surprised how many 50mph boats you will pass up doin 43mph lol
