my first saltycajun report - big lake

Launched at heberts this morning and went south a little ways, didnt wanna go to far so so I stopped and fished some grass points. Missed a few on poppin cork (I think they were trash fish anyways) caught a few rat reds on cut Mullet. Finally landed one 19". Then soon after landed a 24".seen a few more fish break/boil the water but could not get them to hit anything.area I was at was around 4ft deep.kind of disappointed I was hopin for a few flounders. So I ended the day with two reds. Not bad for a 3 hour trip and my first trip to big lake.cant wait to make it back and explore some more areas.

Throw artificial....no trash fish that way.

I threw artificial, I threw some chartreusr swim Mullet (nothing) sand eels(nothing). Didnt catch many trash fish though. Caught two croakers and a big gaf top. Rest were small reds
