Default Lake Area Marine Experiance

I had a wonderful experiance at Lake Area Marine and since they are sponsors of this site I figured I should share it.

I was in the market for a new boat trailer ( the old one was no longer safe to use and was single axle so it was undersized for my boat from the get go) and decided to try LAM eventhough i purchased the boat from another dealer across the lake.

I spoke with Kyle at LAM, told him the make and model of the boat, and in less than ten days had the new trailer in. He told me that it would be best to bring the boat in and let his guys adjust the bunks so the trailer would be custom fit for my boat.

When I explained to him that I hang my boat in a Marina and didn't feel safe using my old trailer to get it to him. He said no problem at all, drove to nearest boat launch to great me with the new trailer, made minor adjustments to the trailer at the launch, loaded my boat, and brought it back to his shop to make the final adjustments. And he gave me a ride back to my car at the marina!

If this is type of service that is provided to someone who is purchasing a trailer to go with a boat I didn't even buy from them, then I could only imagine how they would treat me if I purchased the boat from them.

From the second the receptionist picked up the phone, LAM was a pleasure to do business with. Therefore, the next boat I buy will be from them, not the "other" dealer across the lake that didn't even bother to say thanks for the business or help me back up to the trailer after purchasing my brand new bayboat.

Thank you Kyle and LAM!

Here we go again Ok to bash a "non-paying" person or outfit........but when money is involved it's a no no That's BS.......... Should have never read this now I got the Redass.

On a happy note LAM has been awesome when I've dealt with them & the only way has been over phone & UPS since I'm out of town. They've came thru every time.

That is good service. They treated me right when I bought a trailer from them as well. We had a little problem with the service tech not tightening the lug bolts and by the time I got to De Ridder with the new trailer the lugs were were warped. They took immediate responsibilty for the issue and then Kyle drove to my house picked up the boat, hauled it back to Lake Charles, fixed it and then delivered it back to my house. I could have never asked for better service.

I agree, LAM is a good place to buy a boat. Me & Dad just bought a new 21' Fontier and have nothing bad to say about them. Good service and Kyle was our salesman. The "Other" dealer across the bridge.........well I'll just keep my mouth shut about their service. Never been banned from here and don't wanna be.

I didn't know that. Stevey hasn't said anything to me about you ordering more parts, not that she has to. :o

I'm glad to see they are still taking good care of you.

I think I'm going to have to haul my boat over there for service from now on. And since I'll be so close to the lake I might as well fish after Paul picks it up for me.

They have very good customer service but their mechanics need help....had my boat there twice this year and they still can't fix it. And every time they try they screw something else up that wasn't broke. And when u ask them how long of a wait it'll be they always say well we're backed up so we have no idea

Well bass2222, I sure hope you give them another chance to fix it. It does happen like that sometimes but I'm sure they can get to the bottom of it for you.
