We moved our camper back down Wednesday night. Thursday after work we headed down with the boat. My buddy, Captain Buck Rodgers, who was kind enough to let us park the camper at his house to avoid the possible storm surge, told me that his boat was in the shop and that if I had a spot on the boat one day he would like to go. The boys weren't coming until Friday afternoon so I called Buck and invited him to fish Friday morning.
Friday was one of those great days. Buck and I headed to West Timbalier from the camp. High Tide was early so when we arrived at the first spot north of West Tim. there was not much tide movement. We picked up a few, but sloooow. So we moved farther south and tried another spot. nothing so we ran the rest of the way down to West Tim. Water was about a 3 on 1 to 7 scale. Picked up two small ones were he said the guides that flew down from Lafitte fished. That some good info right there

. We moved to the rocks and fished for about 45 minutes and nothing! We both agreed that we need to find better water.
We decided to move back east. We had to go a good bit east in order to have a safe entrance from the gulf. We found a spot where the water was better about a 5.5 or 6. The water was starting to move and the trout were biting. Two spots and we were limited out. All on artificial too!
