Not again today, learned lesson yesterday. Ran 35 miles offshore, dodged storms and lightning all day. Did I mention we got beat to hell and soaking wet.

Dodged them the last 2 days both offshore. Did not get wet or beat up with my boat. was actually able to dodge all the storms with my sat weather and radar. After living here for 9 years it is almost a way of life.

Wish I was able to dodge Katrina but living in Empire it was not a matter of dodging anything. Just pack your bags and run.

Only made it on the water for 10 minutes. Sat on the doc and drank watching boats get to the mouth of the bay and turn right around. Guess they don't know how to read the weather.
