Thanks! You think the fishes would be biting that close to land during the month of Aug?

Time for me to turn in my M4 for a fishing pole and RELAX.

seawall in lake charles at night at the steps. far left side. when i first moved to lake charles, i had no money, no boat, no knowledge of catching reds or trout nor have i ever caught any. the seawall(and the boardwalk for that matter) at night taught me all about it. just net urself some pogie, and if they're there, live shrimp and run them under a popping cork. if there is nothing hitting, you can wait it out because schools will move in and out sometimes, or you can run a live pogie on a carolina rig from the pavilions and bring in a nice red or 2. it used to be alot better when harrah's was there due to the ambient light, but it still produces. especially on a storm surge. i still run down there now and then when i'm back in town.

You can buy live shrimp at Spicers Marina. It is located on Hwy 27. Go to the back building and you will see a little store there. Just tell them you wan to buy some shrimp and they will hook you up.

Are you stationed at Fort Polk? Jordan and I both work out here. My dad was with the 272nd and returned home in December of last year. He is getting ready to retire with 21 years of service and just moved home to Ft Leonard Wood.
