Default Ethanol free gas

Hey guys,
I am from north LA and make several trips each year to fish the marsh in the Cocodrie/Dulac area. We can't find ethanol free gas in our home area but I have had luck finding it in the southern part of the state. The last trip we made I purchased gas for my boat from Cecil Lapeyrouse Grocery which is located just north of Coco Marina in Cocodrie. My motor started running bad and I took it to my mechanic and he said I had gotten some bad gas.

I am now looking for an alternate location, for ethanol free gas, that would not be too far from the Cocodrie area. I am looking for a station that sells a pretty good volume of gas so the gas will always be fresh.

Thanks for taking time to reply.

jchief,
Thanks for the reply. The site mentioned in this post is very outdated. I called a number of the stations listed and none were ethanol free.

Thanks anyway.

Pole_Benda,
The only Valaro station I found in that area has an address of 100 Benton Rd. Spur. I called them (742-2241) and they said their gas does contain ethanol.
You might want to check and confirm.

Thanks for the help.

Fishaholic,
Do you know the name of the station or the brand of gas it sells? I need to give them a call.

Thanks for the information.

I wonder if there is a home test that could be used to verify ethanol free claims. I know a gas station owner in Westwego that has told me he would sell it if he could find it. All of his distributors don't even handle it he says. This is in an area where he could really sell the stuff because of his close proximity to bayou segnette.

Yes there is a "test kit". Try Googling it, you should get some information.

CCM there is a station on the way to Cocodrie on LA 56 right near the Houma Air Port called J and N 9706 E Main St, Houma, LA (985) 872-2201 truck stop. It is a Conoco station.

There is also a station on the corner of Barrow and West Park Sarahs 8006 Park Ave, Houma · (985) 873-9542 that doesn't have ethanol.

Hope this helps, which way do you take when you come to Cocodrie from Shreveport, I could maybe help you a little better?

Swamp Snorkler,
One more question. Which of these stations would be selling the most fuel. I want to be sure to get fresh gas.

Thanks

Your Welcome glad I could help....... I tell my wife even though your paying $.10 more a gallon for ethanol free gas you get better gas mileage so it the same as paying for ethanol gas. Also the staion by my house that I get my gas from is a local guy, and most of the ethanol free stations are local guys and that's where i choose to do my buisness.
