Default Cypremort point state park beach.

Out with the fam at the beach and the The beach looks like crap in some areas. it looks like black grass cutting. Is it oil?

It's has a greenish brown look. As u go further in the water it gets Better

Definitely not oil, I've always called that stuff coffee grounds. Nothing to worry about

Definitely not oil, i have never examined it closely but always assumed it was silt carried over from the atchafalaya or decaying vegetation. I was there most of the week and the water looks good in the bay.

I have called it coffee grounds also. It shows up in a lot of the bay along the shore when the wind has been blowing into the shore line.

It look more like decayed vegetation.
