Default Lake Charles Short Trip 10/21/12

Hit the lake for a short 2 hr trip with Fuze13... had to squeeze it in between work and family. Took off to one of my red holes to get one on the second cast... quickly the wind blew us off. Took off to another hole to get out of the wind and spotted some buzzards workin. we wanted to try something different so we tied on corkies and catch 2000s and thus it began. Started playing catch and release for about 15 min until we got on some 2s and 3s. Not long after that the bite shut down and we took it into the heezy. Here is a few of the fish we kept for the grease! Biggest spec went 3.5lbs... On the water at 1 and in the truck by 3. Not too shaby for a 2 hr trip with corkies and catch 2000s.

Tide was supposed to be ok but south wind kept water in. We caught all these in 2 ft or less. We would almost work suspending baits on top. The reds reminded me of fishing lacassine.... you could see a wake coming. It's about that time boys, big girls aren't too far away now!
