I have a nylon net that a lady in Chauvin made for me. It's good and opens well nuts it doesn't sink as fast as the monofilament ones. I prefer the mono ones, they are also lighter. BUT if you rip it, it's done for.

I am not sure where you live but Touchard Marine Supply in Delcambre have some good cast nets.
