Anybody know what would be the best radar detector to get under about $250?

lol it's not for me. My wife's cousin wants to get that for her boyfriend and she asked me what I thought was a good one. I never had one and never wanted one so I thought maybe somebody on here may have some input.

Buy a Garmin Nuvi for $199.00 and leave 15 min early and you will never need one. Got tickets all the time with one on the dash, should not have a problem with 5 mph over and 10 mph on interstates so I do not see the need anymore. Wish I had the money I spent in 1991 on speeding tickets and bail money.
