If you do try to ride on the river to get down south to the salt water........

You will need to check what hours the locks on the salt water barrier are open??

The hours were shortened [to save money] a few months back.

But......after the rains we just had, the locks may be left open right now to let the "high" water flow and there is no need to close the locks until the river falls a little.
