Default 6/5 boom or bust

We went to the short rigs today, hero or zero and I was not a hero. Ended up with 16 plus this big nasty that my son and I tag teamed that lived to fight another day. Still a fun day on the water. We had enough by 11 and ran in, I heard the bite picked up with the change in tide around lunch time.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370473004.748537.jpg

Good work chicken! A big nasty is just a monster fish to a youngen, they don't know or care what everyone else thinks - that's awesome!

I bet Mason had a blast with the big nasty!

Kudos to you for getting them involved in one of our great sports! They don't need to be athletes all the time.

Charish these times with your kid's.Mind seems to be very limited. The memories always remain close to the heart.

Awesome Casey.

How are out are the short rigs? Are those the rigs that you can see just out of the Cameron Jetties? What was the water like out there?

Yes people fish them to the east and west. Water is usually clear out there. It's boom or bust you either kill them or strike out. A big risk for a time killer trip. Even in calm water it is usually a 30 minute ride from the jetty to the east rigs and much further to the west.
