Default Throttle lever

is separating from the rest of my binnacle....not sure how long it's been like that but I'm just really noticing it now. Will it eventually come apart or no? Just wondering if I need to get another binnacle control now or wait to see if it gets worse. If I need to get another one I'll probably need to bring it somewhere and have it put on....don't think I'm up to changing one of those out!!

Is it just glued down? Do not see any screws or bolts.

the top of the screw heads that you see were sheared off by I suppose someone trying to tighten the screws....

Default and

that would push my lever back in? Don't think the casing part has moved much if any....just not sure how it's set up under the cover to know what's allowing it to ease out like it's doing...

are you talking about the lever to the binnacle or the binnacle to console? ive went through a few of these and if you dont pay attention to what your doing you can screw up big time...on the lever itself it should have an allen screw or set screw to hold the lever to the shifter shaft...more details and I could attempt to give a lil more advice

Default the screws

that I was referring to without the heads are holding the binnacle to the console.....where exactly is the allen screw or set screw that holds the lever to the shift shaft, that sounds more like what I would need to tighten if possible. I'm sure it's easy to mess something up that's why I'm not really interested in fooling with it much if it's not a simple fix.

set it in the full throttle position...and usually somewhere at the bottom part of the lever there is a set screw/allen screw to lock it to the shaft. If you locate it set the lever all the way onto the shaft before you tighten it. And with the two screws mounting the binnacle to the console, you may be able to see them on the under side of the console. If so w/a pair of vise grips you may be able to back them out and replace them also.

just looked up the parts list on that one and it appears that it doesnt use a set screw like the merc binnacles...right next to your trim up/down switch you have mounted to your console..there should be a little circle cover you can remove and see if that screw is loose...may be your problem...not 100% sure but thats what it looks like to me..ImageUploadedByTapatalk1373819226.595032.jpg
The small cover part #1 and screw #54..check for a set screw but it doesnt appear to have one.
