Looks like summer transition is a little early. This morning looked terrific in the semi inside open water I've been hammering the fish in since early may. Good water, bait, falling tide. Little west wind but have had that all year. Pounded out my reefs and islands for 4+ hours before throwing in the towel and trying for reds .

Ended with 1 keeper trout, 5 dinks and four sail cats, which were feasting on the big schools of pogies and popping slicks everywhere. I tried them all and either scratched or stuck a cat.

Been a good summer season, but it's all over now, at least for me. I'll play w the reds and try to figure out the flounder. Two good pods of white shrimp under birds on the way in. Mid September some trout will make an appearance inside.

All good things come to an end, but it was good times trying.
