I've gotten a few cool things on QBids on the off hours. Definitely got my investment back and some. Nothing big...there are some fools on there that will bid just to bid. Got more money than sense. There are some strategies, I'm sure, but as far as I can tell from time spent, just gotta be there at the right time and catch someone slippin to get the big stuff.

so every time you bid cost you 60 cents? Then the price you see means nothing?

Exactly! It's really a scam. The company makes a fortune off the bidders even if they sell a iPad for 50 bucks. Bidders are charged for every bid and every time someone bids more time gets added to the clock. You spend money for a chance to get it at the cheap price. Not like ebay where you only pay if you win.

My sis-n-law got a 5000 bid pack for $15. From the lil bit I've watched...I don't see how that's possible considering they had 2 of those packs going a day or so ago and both were over $150. She sent the info to my wife cause I didn't believe it. It wasn't bs.
The bids are automatic (I'm pretty sure). I guess you post how many bids you wanna do and it automatically bids for you. Every time a bid is placed, the clock goes back to :10 and so on and so forth. I saw an auction for a $2000 Amazon gift card that went on for at least 4 days like that. No telling how many bids the winning bidder placed. The selling price was $170. After a certain period of time or a certain # of bids...no more "new" bidders can bid. If you are not the winning bidder...you forfeit all the bids you placed during that auction. You can recover them by doing a "buy it now" for (what is essentially) the retail price for the item you were bidding on. For instance....the Amazon card $2000 and the 5000 bid pack....$3000. I imagine it could get expensive starting out because you gotta have bids to play with. Once you get a stockpile of bids...things would lighten up. You can easily roll out a ton of bids on some of those items, tho. I've never played...just been watchin it. I don't think it's a gimmick or a scam but, if you lost your azz....you might certainly think so. |

I saw earlier where this exact camera went for $388. I'm thinkin' somebody was sick after that one cause there's no tellin how many bids he/she placed. This one ain't a bad deal, tho.

dealdash says that if you don't win the auction you don't get charged for your bids. Doesn't it??

Bob, if you don't win the auction...you lose the bids you've placed. The only way to recoop them is to use the "buy it now" option to buy a like item. You get your bids back in that case. |

Its really a strategic thing for you to win. The bid buddy is really good to use to catch someone slipping, but you cant just leave it up. If you notice there a pattern where there are for example 3 people using bid buddy. Stop wasting your bids and let them fight it out between eachother.
