Without a doubt, dexter is the best knife I have ever own with regards to fish cleaning.

I wanna try one. I use a berkley which im really fond of but wanna try a dexter

I have a serrated blade for cleaning redfish,works great. Use a cheap rapala for everything else.

You're gonna love Dexter. Had to buy a Berkley at Wal-Mart on a recent trip when I forgot the Dexters. No comparison.

Sline slingers in Grand Isle had them, and They were too notch!

Works great on snapper. I use the serrated one. Also use them on redfish, sheepshead and other boney fish. Cuts like butter.

Dexter's been making kitchen/butcher knives for a long time. there's a reason their still around.

A super sharp dexter russel serrated blade in a hand held sawzall @ 3200 strokes per minute!
Makes cleaning redfish like butter!

I bought a very old dexter filet knife in excellent condition at an antique store in Carencro for $1. I liked it so much that I now just keep it in the kitchen

ok what is the going prices for a 9 dexter or what should I expect to pay for them

I use a dexter serrated for the big scaley fish, I prefer to use a regular thin filet knife for the specks...apparently I suck with an electric knife...

Forshner also makes a good filet knife for about the same price.

If I remember correctly...... about $ 25.

Be careful with them....the blade is very sharp.
