Cody Lenert made it back down for his annual Beat The Heat Trip. His crew of nine arrived at The Reel Inn Lodge yesterday afternoon ready to go!! We had three boats running. Joining Cody and I on the big Bluewave were Nate Caldwell, and Walt Pipkin. We departed the lodge and made it to our destination before dark. We had a slow steady bite all night, as the fish never turned on hot. Patience was key as the majority of fish caught were solid pigs!! Double rigged Matrix Shad in green hornet was the top producing color. The big trout were slamming the baits like there was no tomorrow. We kept chipping away at them and ended with a solid box. Good times, as it's always a pleasure fishing with Cody and his crew. Thanks again guys for a great time.
