Friday night we made the decision to sleep in late Saturday morning, we departed the Lodge around 8 am. Roy Buchler and family joined me again. Also, it was my sons birthday and I was able to bring him along with us (which made for a really special day). We made it to the coast to find a long stretch of thunderstorms off the coast. We were lucky to make it to the edge of the storms and avoid the rain. We found emerald green water, but the fish did not cooperate. Once the rain passed we started moving around finding some nice trout at our second and third stops. We got on a good steady bite with everyone reeling in some solid specks. When the bite finally slowed to a crawl we were on the move. A couple more stops had us adding trout to the box. We never got on a fast and furious bite but it was enough to keep us and the kids interested. All of our fish were caught on double rigged Matrix Shad and Highlife Tackle Swimmer Jrs. I want to thank Roy Buchler and Eric Hellbach for the continued business, we really appreciate everything you guys do.
Capt Travis took out just the guys on a afternoon Red and bass trip. The guys put a nice mess of fish together and had a blast cutting up laughing and trash talking!!
Thanks to Capt's Travis, Chris, and Olden for running the other boats, everyone had a great time.
