Default Heading to Big Lake Wednesday

I plan on heading out to Big Lake Wednesday to see what I can do. I hit it Saturday morning but didn't do so well. Ended up with a couple specks and a few reds with some white and chartreuse gulp but from what I can tell its been rough. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm new to big lake and trying to learn but the past few times I've gone has been rough.

It's hot. Fish close to deep water. Look for bait and moving water. Slow down presentation.

Live bait is a good option this time of year too.

live lady fish even cut lady fish will produce. If you find a school of lady fish don't give up on them as trout will not be far away.
