thinking about going to west cove launch tomorrow, was wondering if anybody has been catching crabs and reds off of fishing pier and are flood gates open

I saw people smokin the reds off the bank at Hog Island. The tide was ripping in at the time.

Sept/Oct is normally the months that the reds are at the weirs though.
