Career choice help?

I'm posting for a friend sorry if this is in the wrong area.

My friend has 18 years law enforcement and IT experience looking for oilfield job offshore or on land

minimal physical labor intensive work

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Production operator? He is a computer whiz! No degree though
