Default Skunk killers

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1379887222.365110.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1379887237.679205.jpg
I heard my two outside dogs sounding off in the back of my house so I went to check it out and found this little guy. I was to late when I got there they were both drooling and rolling, but still wouldn't give up. So I pop him in the head and of coarse they start shaking him, and acting like they killed him. I usually leave them out for when our opossums come after my satsuma trees which usually I don't have to shoot. Is there anything I can do to get the smell off of them?

In one of the outdoors magazine I received a long time back. It showed a picture of them taking a dog by the legs and swinging it over a wet pile of leaves smoking. They said that would get rid of the skunk smell. If you do this please have someone take pictures or video. Lol

This is the ticket. Lather them up and soak for 20 minutes and repeat until smell is gone. Keep out of their eyes. Works great by breaking down the component that smells bad!

Need to get it off them ASAP, If they were sprayed good enough it will make them sick. I lost a redbone puppy (squirrel dog) after he was sprayed. He got sick & wouldn't eat or drink. He died several days later.

hate to bring this up, but you should probably test that skunk for rabies. My dog got one several years and it tested positive. Skunks are one of the largest carriers of rabies. Your dogs will need treatment and quarantine if it tests positive.
