Default Sandies vs. Specs Question-s
Scenerio:

OK... you're in a spot that has both Sand Trout and Spec's. By your catch, the Sandies seem to outnumber Specs 10 to 1. Also say that both seem to prefer live shrimp.

Question:

How can you just successfully target Spec's? I'm fishing a few spots where the Sand Trout are all over the bait before a Spec has a chance.

Any thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions besides move...?

I wouldnt think there would be a way to do this... Maybe try a heavier jig head and get deeper... Or try topwater... Never had a sandie eat a spook yet.

The best way to get away from the sand trout is to wait about another month and they'll be gone lol. They are everywhere right now

Stop using live shrimp and throw a catch 2000 or topwater and you catch 100% trout

I would need to know exactly where you are talking about to try to help. GPS coords will work
