Been toying with the idea of purchasing a quality saltwater scale for fishing. I've used several Berkley Lip Grip scales for bass fishing and found them to be inconstant on their weights and have found that the digital screen messes up with morning dew, but I do enjoy having the lip grip to hold/weigh fish.
I've been around the boga grips a couple of times and enjoy using them. I like the fact that they are made of stainless steel material, American made (I think) and that you can mail in your Boga grip to IGFA for verification for that record fish one dreams to land. I'm leaning towards this if I can get the courage to spend the $120 plus tax.
I was in the Pack & Paddle store the other day and noticed that they had a pair of EGO scales for around $76, I don't know anything about them except that the "jaws" are stainless steel and the EGO website charges the same $ amount for the scale which measures up to 25lbs as the scale that goes up to 40lbs. Not sure if they would hold up in the saltwater...

Any thoughts on spending the money for a quality scale thats going to be used in the saltwater?
