Canadian Black Bears 2012
Started baiting last week and all 4 sites are now being hit. Some real nice black bears this year for sure
 . Thought I would share some pics to a fellow hunter, John Dean, who called me about a Canadian Black Bear Hunt...here ya go John, thought you might cancel that deer hunt to take on one of these babies...

Yeah, that is a nice chevon bear, pretty rare in these parts, looks like he is posing for the camera...hahahahaha

Top of the afternoon to everyone....
It has been a while since I shared some stories and pictures with yall as I have been very busy this year chasing black bears as you can see by the pictures above. We had a great black bear season and the following is a few pics reaping the rewards of all the hard work. The black bears were big this year with a 330 lb field dressed sow, a 347 lb field dressed boar, and the biggest of all was a 432 lb live weight boar. I had a guy from Ohio, New York, and Massachusetts. I hope you enjoy the pictures...

No do-nuts....since you are so far away I can tell you my secret is bread and cow molasses. They go crazy over it and it's easy to come by.
Bear is absolutely, by far, the best game to eat if prepared properly. The trick is to get the bear caped as soon as possible, get as much fat off it as soon as possible, get it to a good butcher, and last but not least, ensure all fat is scraped off the meat prior to cooking. It is absolutely amazing.

2013 Black Bears
Wow, I didn't realize it has been a year since I last logged into Salty. Time sure flies by...Not sure what happened in the new year as I was really enjoying talking to everyone. We had a great bear season as everyone shot a bear and had lots of fun.
