Default 5 days of phenomenal fishing

The Bluewave was in action Tuesday thru Saturday. The bite has been incredible starting with a cold Tuesday and Wednesday. Chip and Adam joined me both days and with frigid temps and a lot of wind we stayed protected in canals. The reds were as easy as they can get with limits by 7:40 both days. Tuesday we chipped in 11 trout but Wednesday the trout wanted to play as the guys threw 65 trout on top of their 15 reds. Green Hornet Matrix Shad reeled real slow was the ticket for the reds while the trout preferred the Shrimp Creole Matrix under a cork. Thursday the temperature had warmed up a little and Dale Mayuex"s crew smashed the trout in a deadend canal. The guys had the trout coming in everycast with the green hornet. By 7:45 they put 125 trout in the K2. We took a peak for reds but with the water level up the reds were spread out and but only found throwbacks. Friday and Saturday our Inolect crew was back down. Friday we started where we hammered on Thursday but only found 20 trout so we were off searching. We found pockets of fish but didn't hit the mother load until around 11:30. The guys put 125 trout, 4 reds, and 2 lost bass in the K2. Saturday, I only had two guys and we found the trout stacked up in a protected bayou. We started tightlining green hornets but the trout wanted the shrimp creole under a cork so once we figured that out is was all over. The guys were looking for an early day since they had to drive home. Luckily they got their early day. 75 trout and 2 reds were in the K2 by 8:20. Five phenomenal days of fishing!!! Thanks Capt. Marty for setting up a few of those trips.

Default Thanks...

Thanks guys. I love this time of year. Short runs and once you find them you can load the ice chest.
