Hey guys I would like to share this event here. I know how strong this board is when someone in need is looking for help, I've seen it many times. I'd like to personally ask you guys to help us with this and do anything to help, even if it's just sharing the event on your facebook wall. This is a gumbo cook off being held to supplement and help with my cousins on-going battle with cancer.

His name is Josh Ardoin he is from Carencro/Lafayette LA, some of you may already know him or his father Ted Ardoin, who ended up passing away due to cancer. He is a big outdoorsman, he loves to hunt and fish just as much as any of us here, and he loves being with his family even more. Josh was diagnosed with cancer just a few months after his daughter was born, so it has been a rough time over the past few months for him and his new family.

My wife and I are friends with Josh and his family. She has been involved with helping organize the benefit. I'll be there trying to kick some butt for the gumbo cook off. We invite others to come out and give it a shot at cooking or just come out for the great atmosphere to support a worthy family.

Hey guys I just wanted to bring this back up to the top. We're really trying to get more people involved in this. I'm gonna see what I can do to donate a duck hunt for two in the silent auction to help raise some more money.
