What is the best deep cycle battery to use in a pirogue that doesn't weight 50-75lbs?

Whatever type you go with the an AGM battery. They are a little lighter in general to the standard led-acid batteries and are more durable. I just got two new 31 size Optima batteries, which are the biggest that Optima offers and they only way about 40lbs each I think.
