Default Best GPS/Sonar?

Just wanted to get opinions on the best GPS/Sonar on the market for about $1K?

Looking at either a Garmin 546 or a Lowrance HDS-7. Any thoughts on Pros/Cons?

I like Garmin for GPS. I got one on my big boat, but it don't have depth sounder.

I have a Hummingbird on my fishing boat. I don't care for it, but that is what it came
with. Sometimes the depth finder lies.
The GPS is not user friendly.
