Default Big Lake 4-9-17

Well, weather on my phone said winds SSE 5-8mph for the first few hours of daylight. Turns out he was wrong. Pulled up early at Heberts to SW winds approximately 10 mph before daylight. I had come too far to turn around now though so I put the boat in and made my way to West Cove. Bounced around to a couple spots and then, boom. 4 pound trout on topwater to start the day and two more on the next two consecutive casts. Then dolphins came through and killed that bite for about 15 minutes. Too windy to leave I rode the hole and they decided to eat again when I would deadstick a mirrodine. Filled my limit this way and was done at 8:20 and began the trek back in across the Bering sea aka Big Lake.
