Default Weather

Thought everyone would love to hear this. In a meeting today we were told that most rivers/streams in Louisiana or at/near flood stage and the State expects them to stay there until June due to a very wet spring.

All this bad weather is not my fault. I am still at work.

The salinity in Big Lake is finally starting to go up... Hope it stays that way for another couple weeks.

? ok not looking to get killed over this or nothing, but why not have the tournament around may or even a little later when the water has warmed up and the fishing is more consistent. I mean why schedule such an event around a time where the cold may or may not be outta here yet and the fishing is hit or miss. Now granted I'm no pro fisherman like some of you fellas but still.

the calcasieu in oakdale just got back in banks so hopefully this dont include big lake. the river here normally falls pretty quick . there are not a whole lot of tributaries between here and there to make much of a difference.......The red river in alex is a different story it just won't go down

The evening weather report today showed only one day in the next week where the temperature will get up to 60 degrees. It will be colder tomorrow night than tonight.

Doesn't appear as though the snowfall they were expecting tonight will make it out of Texas. Temps in the lower to mid-40's across south Louisiana will prevent any accumulation..

if the conditions are still bad for the tourny we will see who the better trout fisherman are, when the conditions are good pretty much anybody can catch, but not just anyone can catch when the conditions are bad.
