I would try to keep it on there for a couple of days. Give it time to heal a little before you pull it off. It will grow back.....but will take a few monts.

What you meant to say was: before you pull it off with a set of vice grips, pull out the video camera and record it so you can show how manly you are at the SC Tourny!

Seriously...........hit it with a hammer.........nail will release from skin underneath, then it'll come off easily, no pain..........I dropped a safe door on my big toe few years back, it started coming off. one day, pulled off my sock and no more toe nail!!! If you want, I'll come hit it with a hammer, no prob..........what are friends for??

never happened to my toe.. but once i slammed my own thumb in my truck door. HURT like a MOTHAAAA!! Was the most painful thing to this day. Anyway I didn't break or crack my nail so all the blood was balling up under my thumb nail.. Most agonizing pain ever. A couple days later (it was still hurting just as much) my uncle saw it and said come here. Well he took out a small drill bit and drilled through my thumb nail and all the blood starting frikin coming out!! It wasn't too pretty, but it felt a hell of a lot better. Went fishing the next day =D

I did same thing moving a dryer. It was loose but I just left it like that. About 2 weeks later I was in Destin, Fl. I was running on the beach and the sand got b/w my toe nail and my toe and ripped it off. Talk about hurt. But I just ran in the surf and chilled in the water for a while an it was fine. My buddy dropped a car battery on his toe last year. U would have thought someone shot him in the leg! Lol and his toe nail is just growing back and looks like crap.
