Made a trip w/ H yesterday to leeville,
We started out at a spot where we were told the fish were. Had a culvert
w/ good running water and water looked great. nary a bump.
Left there and went to my favorite spot and when we walked up the trout were busting schools of finger mullet.
Had a very hard time getting them to bite.
So much bait in the water . We could see some real nice trout flashing and hitting the top . Water was glass clear.
I caught one 2lb+ on a top dog when a stray cloud passed over and had a few blowups but no more takers. Most of the few fish we caught were on free lined cacahoes or gulp.
Ended up w/ 6 trout ,3 flounder and H caught a perfect red for the grill.
Next time i'll go straight to the snake.
