Default redflex tickets

Still haven't noticed the collections from the red light tickets on my credit report yet, maybe they aren't allowed to report?

Anyone had this show up on their credit yet?

I have 1 that is over a year old. I have a neighbor that is a lawyer for the DOJ. He explained it to me like this.

The Constitution of the State of Louisiana says you have the right to face your accuser in court, since your accuser is a camera you can not face that person in court. Therefore it is not a criminal matter, as it would be with a traffic ticket from an officer.
Since a civil court is not going to waste it's time with the matter it is now viewed a just a debt. So it gets sent to a collection agency. The collection agency can threaten you with putting it on your credit report. However the big 3 agencies, Equifax, TransUnion and Experian will not report these collections because the Red Light Cameras are very controversial.

Since the camera only takes a picture of the vehicle it could have been anybody driving the car, there was no police there to verify you were driving, so it is easily disputable with a credit angency. They, credit agencies, don't want the hassle of red light ticket traffic issues. Or the liablity, if they give somebody a bad credit report because of red light camera tickets in collection, and that person was denied a loan, and it turns out to be a bogus claim on the red light tickets, they can be sued.

So my buddy told me not to pay it. So I have not, it has never shown up on my credit report. I hate those camera's, F'EM!

Exactly where they should have gone. The camera's work off of fear. Thier days are coming to an end.
