[SIZE=3]Late Snapper report. I had a crew that I brought out for July the 4th and we headed out to the blue water. We ended up fishing in a different area than what I usually fish and oh boy that was a good decision. First rig we pulled up too it was on. We started catching some whopper Red Snapper most of the snapper we had went 10 + lbs biggest snapper of the year so far. We could have stayed all day catching those size snapper. They say the Red Snapper is over fished I would sure like to know where. We ended up moving to a few different rigs in the area and ended up landing four Lemon Fish and had a fifth one the line and broke it. We also ended up fishing for a little while for Mangrove Snapper was able to catch a few of those. We found a different rig that was holding some huge Mangrove biggest I seen yet so I can’t wait to go back out and see if we can get on those. Well the Snapper season has been extended until July 17 so if someone wants to make a blue water trip give me a call.
