Default Point Au Fer 5/24 - 5/25

5/24/14...
Plan was to leave very early from Berwick landing and make my way to block 27 and then to last island to look for trout. Left the landing at 0430 and heading south. When i got to oyster bayou I realized it was a little too rough to take the long ride and too rough to fish at the rigs. I ended up heading over to Pelican Island and giving that a try. Only caught 1 trout but was a keeper. Ended up riding around checking out new spots. Caught a few reds over the size limit and tagged them and released. At the end of the day had 4 reds and 1 trout.

5/25/14...
Left the landing around 1300 and headed to four league bay area. Found some birds diving and first cast with vudu shrimp landed a trout. Ended up weeding through about 40 trout to get 5 keepers. We lost some nice trout too and i missed a really nice one on top water...(got to excited and jerked it away) After the trout stopped biting we hit one of my redfish spots and caught a few nice eating reds and headed home. Besides the horrible horse flys it was a nice weekend on the water.
